一艘到伦敦的飞船误入生态与地球相仿、所有生物都比地球大几十倍的外星球，标题翻成《金星探险者》真是胡扯，没金星什么事儿。最大看点是主角们在一个超大环境中冒险，与种种巨型人类和生物搏斗，巧妙借助**道具，大为小用，构思十分奇巧，充分凸显智慧，如今的科幻片远没有这般趣味。
