本片不能称作黑色电影，确实标题让人遐想、丽莎贝斯·斯科特这位黑色电影的缪斯也添了不少神秘色彩。查尔登·海斯顿在片中的摇摆不定和犹豫不决也很像黑色电影里那些宿命悲惨的男主角，然而影片在最后的10分钟之内完全颠覆了黑色电影里的一切准则。

看到最后在想这片里bad for each other的到底是谁和谁，反正不是男女主。男主的短暂**是因为本来就不想烂在矿区小镇外加要还债，跟女主没啥关系。Heston和大部分个头与他相仿的美国男演员一样演不来intelligent/cultured人设。
