《塔利》感觉像是一款成熟而生机勃勃的作家作品，在不浮于表面的同时，又可以在任何情节里自然而然地挖掘出幽默点 。塞隆在片中的表现可以让对她喜剧天赋有质疑的人都噤声，越黑暗越给力。作为塔利，麦肯兹·戴维斯的表现可圈可点 。

该片中写实的场景直接击中了产妇的痛点，主创正是想创作一部坦白、直率、毫不做作的电影，来表达为母之路上最隐秘的伤痛——不仅仅是身体上的付出和不适，更有心理压力大到足以摧毁理智的险象。不得不说，将以上主题付诸电影是一种大胆的尝试，而导演和编剧不仅成功做到，并且满怀敬意。
