《热浴盆时光机》的导演转为做了一部很短小也同样细致的情感掰扯，那些令人沮丧的关系死结，那些无从言述的交流障碍；在主角们的旅行里，被缓慢地暴露，又一点点缝补。它没有设置太惊人的转折抑或足够多的副线剧情让它保持扑朔**，也就只和标题那样，如同旋轮，点点地转动着，自在而又平和。

作为一部对话密集的探讨亲密关系的戏剧，容易令人想起那种老一代知名演员常常会搞的四人空间剧。不过适当调整了人物关系，并且用背景设定强调了主人公的孤立，在情感上有迹可循，使这种私密讨论多了几分合理性。尽管主角都很年轻，却并没有因此加入太多当代元素，基本算得上真诚吧。没有老一代那种为了表演而表演的劲头，大概也算是优点。
